Our focus is ghosts and ghost hauntings. The MGSA investigates all types of locations where ghostly phenomena are reported. We are in search of conclusive evidence of ghosts. We are doing the research in hope of gaining a better understanding of ghosts and to expand our findings of the paranormal.

About Beverly Litsinger

I have always been interested in ghosts and spirits from the time I was a small child. I just could not understand how a person who is made of electrical impulses and has a soul could just stop existing because they died.

I have personally experienced the paranormal.

THE HOUSE: I lived in a house in Salisbury, Maryland that had a very active spirit and my house was active with poltergeist activity. The house was so active that my friends and family would not come to visit me in the house. The water would turn on by itself, the toilet would flush itself, cabinet doors would open and close, things would fly through the air, the stove alarm would turn itself on, and the doors to the house would open and close by themselves. The day I moved into this house was a hot summer day with no breeze. The front door opened and closed and then the back door opened and closed by itself. My friend who was helping me move said, "I thought the house was too new for a ghost."

MY FATHER: The night my father died, he appeared in my home and sat on my daughter's bed and told her that he had died. Then my father just stayed around my home. Before he died, he made me promise that I would make my mother come to stay at my house for at least a month. I went down and picked up my mother and brought her back to Baltimore. After a week my mother said she had to go home to do some banking business. I was upset and told her that she should not go, that dad wanted her to stay with me for a month. She insisted that she had to go and she agreed to take my daughter. That evening I went to bed very tried, my mom had been keeping me up each night on her visit. I kept getting up all night long to turn off the light and to check the locks on the door. At 5:00 am in the morning I sat up in bed and said "Oh my god, Mom is not here" My husband sat up and said "What?" I said, "My mom is not here and I have been getting up to turn off the lights and locking the door all night long." My husband said, "I have been getting up and doing the same while you where asleep."

THE VISITOR: I had a ghostly visitor stop to visit. I assumed someone had died and stopped to see me on their way out. It was a woman wearing perfume that smelled very nice. She sat down on the sofa next to me and put her hand on my shoulder. I told my husband we had a guest and I asked him to come over where I was sitting. I asked him if he could smell the perfume. He said that he could. I told him that the ghostly visitor was sitting next to me. I was happy that she stopped in to visit but was upset that I did not know her name. If someone thought enough of me to stop in, I felt that I should be able to know who she was.

MY HUSBAND: My husband never believed in ghosts before he met me. I took him on a ghost tour in Harper's Ferry. We were standing at one of the haunted homes looking up at a window when I got a feeling. The tour group started moving on to the next site, but I asked my husband to stay behind a minute. As we stood there looking up at the window, the ghost appeared. We both saw her look down on us.

Almost everyone knows ghost stories. This is something that boys and girls tell around the campfire or at slumber parties. Today more and more people believe that ghosts exist mainly because of sharing one's experiences. I invite you to send me your ghost stories, pictures, E.V.P., and other findings gathered during your ghost hunts. Let's share our experiences with one another.

Believe!
